Fresh Evo 3.0 beta 1 is on it’s way to donors and I wanted to create a post just to outline it’s features. If you would like to try out the beta then feel free to donate and I’ll send it as soon as I get a chance. You will also be added to the list for all future beta tests and early releases. Fresh Evo Kitchen 2.0.0 beta 1 was just sent out to donors and testers, and I wanted to provide a quick walk through on the kitchen itself for anyone that didn’t use it on the hero. Download: Wimax Radio 26023_r01

Geek for Me is proud to release:

Updated Wimax.img for (version 26023_r01) for Evo 4g running Sprint OTA 3.26.651.3(Android 2.2)

  • This has only been tested and confirmed as working on Fresh Evo 3.0 (release coming) but will work on every 3.26.651.3 based rom
  • Do not flash this unless you are running a 3.26.651.3 rom — Fresh Evo 3.0+
  • If your wimax is broken, then this will not fix it! This is simply for Fresh Evo users who have not messed with other radios and need to update
  • If your wimax is already broken then check one of the numerous threads on xda that help with that. Let me reitterate… this will not fix a broken wimax!
  • Don’t hold me responsible if you brick your phone :)
  • This is the new one from the 3.26.651.3 OTA

Updated Radio.img (version 2.15.00.07.28) for Sprint Evo 4g (Android 2.2)

  • This has only been tested and confirmed as working on Fresh Evo 3.0 (coming soon) but will work on every 3.26.651.3 based rom
  • Flashing an updated radio will typically give you better battery life and better signal
  • Different radios work differently depending on where you are in the country. You may actually get better performance out of another radio. Test them out.
  • This won’t fix any problems with your wimax
  • Don’t hold me responsible if you brick your phone :)
  • Don’t flash this unless you have a CDMA Evo 4g
  • This is the new stock one from the 3.26.651.3 OTA

News: HTC Facebook not Syncing Contacts

I have been getting a lot of reports over the last week or so of people not being able to sync their contacts with HTC Facebook (Facebook for Sense). It happened shortly after I released a new rom for the Evo and Hero and I didn’t see others complaining about the issue so I assumed it was something related to what I did. As it turns out this is a widespread problem that has occurred after a Facebook API change, and HTC is working on it.

Fresh Evo 1.0.1 for your Sprint Evo 4g

NOTE: Fresh Evo now assumes that you have NAND unlocked (part 2 of rooting). This means you are fully rooted and have write access to /system/ even when you are booted up. If you have not unlocked NAND protection then you should do so before flashing this rom!
