Well I like to think that the little things that we try here in fresh rom are what make it unique. Sometimes those things don’t work… and it seems I’ve run in to a couple of those with fresh 1.0.  :)

I added in a totally clear lock screen and put a transparent “lock” image over the screen. I put in all my release notes that I agree it was kind of ugly but it was a proof of concept. Well a lot of people can’t stand it. Ha.

I also put the freshhhhh boot up sound back in. Partially because I like it and it’s a bit of a trademark, and partially just because. ;) But again… I know that it upsets people.

Thirdly, with the approval of tsowen I ported over one of his taskbars. This issue is about 50/50 right now on whether people like it or not. But in order to set the lock screen back I also had to kill most of the taskbar.

Applying this patch will do the following:

  1. Remove the “lock” image from the lock screen and puts it back to the standard half-arc. It maintains the clear wallpaper though. You should now be able to apply whatever lock screen you like including evil or clear as a bell.
  2. Remove the freshhh boot sound
  3. Remove the taskbar

Right now I’m not providing a way to only do 1 and 3, or only do 3 or whatever. It’s all or nothing.  :-P
