Download: Removed APK’s from Fresh Rom 2.1

Here is a zip file of all the stock apps that I removed for Fresh Rom 2.1. Be warned that this rom is large and there is almost no free space on the /system/ partition. This is not an update.zip.

Sorry about my ignorance but how do I install the PDF viewer odex. I tried with the kicthen into my data/app fodler but it didn’t work.

i tried installing pdf viewer and teeter from my sd card and got error ‘ application not installed’. help:)

I also have errors on Teeter and Stock apk’s. When I try to install them via ADB shell i get the following error “Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT]

Okay, I did some reading and got a solution.

Just type

adb push c:\teeter.apk /system/app
adb push c:\teeter.odex /system/app
adb reboot

That did the trick for me.

Are we sure that these are all 2.1 compatible? I’ve been trying to get the pdfviewer to work all morning. I’ve pushed both the apk and odex to /system/app and I get stuck in a boot loop.

I did the push method just as Maverick described and all is working just fine. I even tested out the Sprint Navigation app and it worked just fine for me. If you’re wondering, I’m runing FreshROM 2.1.2 with vanilla lock screen, OC’ed using SetCPU with root access (of course). Good luck ya’llz

    Hey MortonMcHavesham,
    I’m using the GoDmOdE #89 kernel, which is used in Fresh Toast 2.1 as well. I just flashed that kernel to the Fresh 2.1.2 and poof, OC’ed!
    
    I just really like Fresh Rom more than Toast.
    
    Also, I changed from using SetCPU (due to it constantly using 15% system resources all the time) and moved to the OC Widget, which in my opinion, is much more friendly to the system.

I put sprint tv back on my hero (running 2.1.2 with vanilla lock screen) and i get a message saying “you must be a sprint customer to use this application”. Any clues?

  Your PRI is broken from flashing an Eris based rom, search the XDA forums for the fix. It is a pain, but the only way to fix this issue.

No clues about the “sprint customer” issue, but I can say with certainty that some of these apps won’t work whether adb installing or pushing. This zip must be from an older, odexed rom. For the PDFViewer at least, you need to push a deodexed .apk. The file has been posted in the Fresh rom 2.1.2 thread on XDA and pushing to /system/app works without boot looping.

Adobe has released an offical reader in the market so ditch the pdfviewer and just use that.

Hmm, when I pushed these files over to Fresh 2.3.3, I ran into a bootloop… any ideas?

  Fresh 2.3.3 is a completely different base than this one. Notice that the title of this says Fresh 2.1 right in it.
  
  Check /sdcard/fresh-removed-apks on your phone for all removed apks. Read the release notes for Fresh Hero 2.3.3 for what to do with them.

Rom seemed ok, until I activated my exchange sync, then hero booted, and stuck in a bootloop, reverted back to my original rom.. Thank Goodness for ROM Manager !!
