Fresh Evo 3.2.0.0 for your Sprint Evo 4g

Featuring a brand new OTA that hasn't been released yet.

Base: Supersonic 3.28.651.1

This update is only currently available for donors and testers. It will be released to the public soon. If you would like to try it out now then feel free to donate. You will be directed to the download afterwards and you will also be on the donor list for all future projects. If you can't/don't want to donate then just be patient, it will be released to the public after it's been tested. I also plan on releasing a totally stock version of this OTA around the same time as the public release.

Changes from Fresh Evo 3.1.0.2 to 3.2.0.0:

Based on a brand new Sprint OTA that hasn't been released yet (3.28.651.1)
New kernel by HTC (g3a8614e)
- This kernel has been showing some amazing battery life. It is “stock” so it won't give you overclocking however both myself and freshlyill have gone 1.5 days without charging under normal/medium use.
Unlike my previous roms I have not resigned this rom so a full data wipe is required.
- The Evo is still being actively developed by HTC and Sprint which means there are new updates coming out on a fairly regular basis. My resigning the rom allows for extra modifications to be able to be made and allows for new updates without doing a data wipe however ont he flip side it means that I have to resign any new updates from HTC/Sprint before you can use them. For the time being I have decided to put this rom back to HTC's signature so that as new updates are released on the market by Google (like the new voice search and google maps) or by Sprint (like the new VVM) or by HTC (like the new widgets) then you can get them without having to wait on me to release them.
Removed the extra HTC widgets being included by default because this rom is no longer re-signed so you can install them yourself through add widgets.
Updated Sprint Visual Voicemail to v5.1.0.34
Updated Launcher Pro to 0.7.6.0
Updated SuperUser to 2.3.4
Updated DarkTremor apps2sd to 2.7.5 RC3 release C
Updated ES File Explorer to 1.4.5
The following files were changed by the new OTA:
- Browser, Calendar, HTC Album, HTC Contacts, Mail, PCSCII, Phone, debuggerd, dmagent, sequansd, a handful of lib files.
- There were no new radios with this update.

Changes from Fresh Evo 3.1.0.1 to 3.1.0.2:

Removed Qik from /system/. Reinstall it through the market if you use it.
Removed Facebook from /system/. Reinstall it through the market if you use it.

Added Sprint Football Live 2.2.32 to /sdcard/fresh-removed-apks-3/
Fixed single click on “Search” button not working — I highly recommend that you uninstall Google Search and Google Voice Search if you already installed the new ones from the market before doing this update or that button may still not work.
There were a couple random reports of the video camera using 100% cpu load. I was never able to duplicate but I replaced HTCCamera just in case. I also brought back the shutter sounds.

Install Notes: This update definitely requires a data wipe for any current Fresh users because it's not resigned. You must wipe! If you are coming from another rom (that hasn't been resigned) then a data wipe may not be required.

Fair warning: if you ask me something that is already answered in these release notes, the faq, or the known bugs then I'm probably not going to respond. Sorry.

this is probably not due to the rom, but i have tried so many places for help… i have one single facebook contact that I cannot link to my google contact. their name doesn’t even show up when you go into the list of FB friends to link with. ne1 have ne ideas??

Data rates on this new version seem extremely slow, I can’t even get my gmail account setup, gives me an error “Can’t establish a reliable data connection to the server.” I’m 3G and have never had this issue before.

Data rates are fine on 3.1.0.2

Did a full data, cache, and dalvik cache wipes before loading 3.2.0.0.

Tried rebooting the phone, made no difference

one thing I noticed is that when I get a text, the notification light doesn’t flash anymore, just comes on and stays on (like a full charge) until I open the text.

I am not seeing an increase in battery life. I wiped. Calibrated. And everything in between. I think my battery is shot. It dropped. From 100 to 90 in 30 minutes. Is there a way to test the battery?

Am I the only one who didnt wipe anything other than cache and running 3.2 successfullly? I love this rom… Battery life is AWESOME!!! What am I missing by not data wipping? Its stable as a rock

I have seen a major increase in battery life over what I was experiencing before. I have not been able to successfully install an app from the Market. The download progress bar progresses to 100% then nothing else. Doesn’t install. Data rates do appear to be slower.

  Just had the weirdest thing happen (on 3.2). I did a backup through Rom Manager and when it rebooted, I couldn’t log in to my phone using the only pin that I have used all along. Wouldn’t accept it. Restored previous backup and then updated to 3.2 (without wiping because I read here that someone did it successfully) and everything seems to work fine again.
  Using the browser and other apps data rates seem fine but downloads are slow from the market (which is what I based my previous comment of slow data rates on).
  
  Other thing I noticed was that when I restored previous backup, the battery read 26%. When I updated back to 3.2, battery read 49%. No way it charged 23% in the time it took to update back to 3.2

I have seen several comments that the data rates seem to be slow. Granted, I have no way to test 4G, but EV-DO seems to be working just fine, if you don’t expect anything over rev0 speeds. Although both my Evo and the Data Only Module (EV-DO card in the cell site) are reporting RevA connection status. Rev0 vs. RevA only affects upload speeds, I am still seeing download speeds upwards of 2.4M.

I was using this with 3.1.0.2 hacked to work with HULU and it worked perfect. But with 3.2 the HULU video works ok but the sound is very slow. You get it but it is SLOW is the only way I can explain it. I think fresh 3.2 made changes for Pandora that may have caused problems with flash.

Flipz is there anything that I can try. I do not know the sound changes that have been made between 3.1.0.2 and 3.2?
