Download: Stock Rooted Evo Rom (update.zip format)

This is a download for the stock evo rom, rooted and in update.zip format. Please note that you will NOT be able to just flash this on your phone and have root. This is here for you to be able to have a totally stock rom (with root, superuser, and debugging turned on) once you do root your Evo. Those instructions will be coming soon. So again remember… for right now this doesn’t technically serve you any purpose. However once you root your Evo, you can use this to flash a totally stock rom that is rooted.

Anyone else having problems after rooting and flashing roms? I flashed the froyo then back to this and now I am having big problems. I tried rebooting but reboot did nothing…. When placing icons on desktop it is off by one spot, freezes and has to load sometimes and a few other weird glitches, my camera is really messed up and sometimes wont load. just did a fix apks which fixed the icon problem but my camera is stilll not functioning

I cant seem to get 4G working. It was working on the phone before the root, but after the root and adding this rom, I dont get 4g. Maybe something I did?

I rooted and flashed this as per Toast’s method and I AM able to connect to 4G, at least I have the 4G icon in notification and I’m watching a youtube vid in HQ. Is the “no 4G bug” only happening to some? What did I do right?

To the folks having the 4G problem, perhaps you didn’t clear the caches b4 flashing as per the instructions. Maybe you should re-root the device and then follow the instructions step by step (including clearing the caches)…

Let me elaborate on my previous statement. I can use 4G data with apps on the phone and tethering with PDANet but not with Wireless Tether.

Yeah, not sure about flashing this.

I’m not in a 4G area (yet), so I’m not necessarily worried about that – but what I am curious about .. is what is the benefit to flashing this versus just installing Superuser.apk manually to the device after rooting and installing latest radio update? Anyone?

Just wanted to update that since flashing the new radio released by toastcfh at XDA, I am able to wifi tether my laptop to my EVO in 4G.

I downloaded this and pushed it to the SD card but only see the old “root-pc36img.zip” as a selection to flash. I rebooted. Still not there. It sure looked like it copied just fine. Said 1428 KB/s (157880590 bytes in 107.913s). Any ideas?

i cant root my phone it doesent do anything i have downloaded all 3 files and followed instructions but no luck any advise or another way of rooting htc evo
